Laila and Nick are on a date at a nice restaurant. They are in the middle of a conversation.
Laila: Why do you think people feel compelled to pretend when it comes to intimacy?
Nick: That’s subjective.
Laila: Not really.
Nick: How?
Laila: If you ask a random group of people whether they know how to cook, you will likely receive different responses. But, if you ask them if they know how to fuck, the probability of receiving the same response is damn high.
Nick: That’s an interesting analogy.
Laila: When it comes to sex, everyone wants to show off their holy skills, and they are never honest.
Nick: Maybe… everyone is just good at sex.
Laila: It sounds like everyone is a part-time hooker.
Nick chuckles.
Nick: Why do you think that?
Laila: That everyone is a part-time hooker?
Nick: No. Why do you think people need to pretend when it comes to sex?
Laila: Maybe people don’t wanna feel like a loser. But sex isn’t about winning or losing. It’s about experience and satisfaction.
Nick: I think sex is about procreating.
Laila: Fuck you.
Nick laughs.
Laila laughs.
They both laugh together.
Laila: I believe arguing that they are better at sex is a way to cope with loneliness.
Nick: How?
